Located in the heart of the city at the entrance of Rajajinagar, SJR College for Women is a heritage building with a 30-year tradition. This is a well-known institution in Bengaluru that aims to empower female students and equip them with skills for a better future. The college has a healthy mix of all levels and categories and caters to the educational needs of young women at an affordable price. Founded in 1988 by the SJR Educational Society (SJRES) as the PU College, the cornerstone for the Degree College was laid in 1990. Since then, the college has come a long way to celebrate its Silver Jubilee in 2015. The college has traveled many kilometers and is built brick by brick according to the vision of former President Prof. Shadaksharaswamy, the quintessential scientist and administrator.

Infrastructure and Facilities of SRJ College For Women

SJR College for Women has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. Laboratory: 

The college has 11 well-equipped laboratories including 3 computer rooms with 80 advanced configuration systems. A computer center with internet access is also available for employees and students. 

Library: 

The library is the center of every institution and an indispensable part of our SJRC W. From the very beginning, special attention was paid to the development of the library. Established in 1990, College Library is housed in the main two-story building. The main library with a lending room and information offices is located on the ground floor with a large reading room and in the basement. A separate area for the PG course is also maintained. The library is fully computerized and features a barcode scanner for quick and easy transactions. The library has an open-access system and serves as a central information center for students, teachers, and researchers. Offer an extensive collection of books, magazines, CDs, projects, etc., as well as digital access to online learning. 

Auditorium: 

The Institute has several state-of-the-art lecture halls. These auditoriums are used for various occasions such as graduation ceremonies, freshman initiations, hottest parties, congratulatory events, alumni events, large departmental events, etc. It offers space for 500 students. Programs and competitions, conducted in various forms, encourage students to bring out their hidden and innate talents. 

Canteen and Health Center: 

Arrangements have been made to operate a healthy canteen and health center for our students. The doctor is present at the college for 2 hours from Monday to Friday during the semester.
