  Residential Accommodation

  The student accommodation at SRM is a "home away from home".  There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the necessary facilities for study and recreation. The rooms are well spaced with furniture and study tables. The hostels are well equipped with modern kitchens serving vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. In addition to the restaurants in the hostel, there are also restaurants and cafes, open 12-15 hours a day, offering fast food, pastries, juices, and ice cream.  Staff quarters are also available at the main Kattankulathur campus to house 120 staff and their families.

  Library

  SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) has an excellent library for the benefit of students, professors, and researchers. Being one of the most established libraries by international standards, the University Library has an extensive collection of books covering various branches of engineering and technology, medical and sanitary sciences, and science and science and human science and its related sectors. The library is nearly three decades old. It is fully air-conditioned and automated using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. The library is well protected with fire alarms and CCTV security systems.

  Seminar Room

  The Institute includes the following seminar rooms, intended for accelerating the learning process of teaching with the help of modern technological aids. It is normally used for making presentations, seminars and student activities, etc. The halls are fully air-conditioned and is

  SRM has excellent sports and recreation facilities on campus, with dedicated facilities for tennis, basketball, badminton, volleyball, yoga, and various other sports.   For students to stay fit and healthy, all hostels are equipped with gym and fitness center facilities - treadmills, exercise bikes, and more of the latest fitness equipment.   The central gym for men at SRM is also equipped with body-building equipment.
