Reading the signs of the times, the congregation of the sisters of St. Anne, Tiruchirapalli has vowed to place the thrust on opting for the poor. It has been working for the cause of education and the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden. After a thorough study, reflection, prayer, and discernment, we have proposed to extend our mission through job oriented training program, in the name and style of St. Anne's College of Engineering and Technology, chiefly focusing on the option for the poor and established the same in the academic year 2009-2010.

St. Anne's College of Engineering and Technology is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It is situated at Anguchettypalayam, near Panruti. Facilities and Infrastructure

Central Library of St. Anne’s College of Engineering and Technology, is housed in a separate building located on the western side of the main campus. The total area of the Library is about 529.33 M2. It has a seating capacity of 96. Our Library is equipped with a rich collection of books pertaining to various disciplines for issue and reference. Our Library has 13653 volumes of books consisting of 5776 titles, 432 back volumes of journals, 837 non-book materials, and 335 project works.

Students are encouraged to engage in physical education and for the overall development of personality. They are encouraged to participate in inter-college competitions and also offer themselves for selection to the University team. The Cricket and Football grounds and the indoor sporting faculties are provided. An annual Sports Day will be conducted and prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals who prove their mettle. As part of it, SACET emphasizes the importance of Sports and Games and considers them an integral part of the student experience. The college has facilities for indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom and Chess. Also, it has facilities for playing Foot Ball, Volley Ball, Ball Badminton, Shuttle Badminton, and Tennikoit.

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. Tidy rooms and hygienic facilities make for an ideal stay-away-from-home ambiance. The hostels also have a recreation hall, multi-gym facility, and provision for a variety of indoor games for the students. Students in the hostels have access to everyday conveniences including telephones and enjoy the luxury of watching a film every weekend. The mess facilities in the hostels are designed to meet international hygiene standards. Steam cookers and sterilized equipment are used to prepare wholesome, healthy food. A mineral water plant is operated within the campus and has a well-maintained RO facility. This water is used for cooking, drinking and is available throughout the campus.

The college has a fleet of 12 buses to transport students and staff from various parts of the city and its neighboring areas to the college and back home Transport facility will be arranged for every student. Every student is expected to avail of the transport facility to enable him/her to be punctual to come to the college. Besides the regularly scheduled trips, the facility is extended for occasions like after the college hour Special Coaching classes, Placements and Training, and Visit to Local Industries, hospitals, NSS Camps, etc.

To achieve holistic growth and development of the students and staff, a well-equipped infirmary on campus is instituted to extend warm medical care. The fully-functional St.Anne's Hospital is well-appointed with residential doctors and staff. Each member of the institute is entitled to basic healthcare amenities available in the hospital. It provides indoor and outdoor medical facilities for common ailments. Complicated cases, though are referred for treatment to civic hospitals in the city.

The multi-cuisine cafeteria of the college is a two-storied building that kindles the taste sense and caters to the hunger needs of Guests, Inmates, Visitors, Staff & Students. It can accommodate 400 members to dine at a time. The cafeteria offers a wide medley of hygienic, nutritious South Indian Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian wholesome edible food. The arrangement has been made for the boys & girls to dine separately.

Placements

The placement office handles all aspects of campus placements for graduating students. The office is well-equipped with-excellent infrastructure and the necessary experts to support every stage of the placement process. Systematic structured training for the purpose of enhancing the student's quality in the area of aptitude, interview skills, group discussions, and soft skill training is conducted regularly in the college.
