Library

St. George's College, Aruvithura was established in 1965. The Library was upgraded as a first-grade library and the post of a first-grade Librarian and an IV-grade librarian were sanctioned in 1978. 32330 books, 58 periodicals, 250 CDs, and 8 newspapers are available in the college library. 400 books are allotted for the Walk with Scholar Programme and Scholar Support Programme.

Auditorium

The latest addition to the infrastructure facilities of St.George College is the newly constructed multi-purpose auditorium. The Aesthetically appointed facility has a capacity to seat 2500 people. The seating arrangement is multiple-aisle and state-of-the-art acoustics is given prime importance. The wide fan arrangement of the auditorium brings the spectator closer to the performer on stage while keeping unobstructed visibility at the heart of the seating arrangement. This facility is ideal for big events like International conferences, staging performing arts, musical concerts, etc.

Sports and games

From early on, as kids, individuals explore the unfamiliar world through active ‘play’. Play in its essence is an activity that is driven by curiosity, eagerness, excitement, and happiness all rolled into one— elements that are integral to any successful academic/co-curricular pursuits. Taking cognizance of this truth, the institution takes a proactive stance toward nurturing a sporting culture on campus. A tall testament to this claim is the infrastructural amenities that facilitate the growth, nurturing, revamping, and rejuvenation of such a culture. The institution has a state-of-the-art indoor volleyball court, an indoor basketball court, and a dynamic football field that functions as a cricket ground and an athletics track, depending on the occasion. Athletes are given regular volleyball coaching by trained coaches of repute. The college Chess Club is another avenue where students can play both competitively and for leisure. Moreover, the college features an open gym that is accessible to all students during working hours, enabling them to stay active and healthy.

Seminar Halls

Seminar Halls: We have two spacious seminar halls on our campus, which are equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment, making them ideal venues for seminars, workshops, and other academic events. The halls are air-conditioned and have comfortable seating arrangements. Mini Theater Our new library block has a mini theater facility that can accommodate up to 50 people. It is equipped with modern audio-visual equipment and is perfect for screening documentaries, short films, and other educational videos.

Canteen

Yoga Centre

Chapel

A chapel is a place where our students and staff members can find solace, peace, and a sense of community. The chapel is open to all, and students are encouraged to visit the chapel whenever they feel the need for spiritual solace or guidance.

Faculty

The faculties of the college can be given a mark of 100. They always motivate us and make us achieve heights. They consider the students as their own children. All the faculties have at least a PG qualification. Our HOD Dr.Cyriac Zacharias is also a good and motivating factor in our department.

Placement

The placements offered by our college were quite okay. From the 5th semester onwards the students become eligible to apply for various placements. Hdfc bank, SBI cards, federal bank, south Indian bank they visited, and companies like TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant were also included in the online sessions. Many students got placed in TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant but only a few students got into banks. The highest package was 3.6 LPA and the lowest package was 2 LPA. Less than 50% of students got placed. I joined for a Professional course.
