St Jerome College was established on August 27, 2009. The school focuses on providing and providing high-quality education as well as discipline and infrastructure to support the development of the young. The college is accredited through the Government of Tamil Nadu through the G.O.No. 266, dated 27.07.2009 and affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli from the year 2009. Since then, the college has been able to lead youngsters on the right direction.

St. Jerome's College accentuates the importance of Fine Arts skills that allow students to excel in their creative areas. Career possibilities in the creative areas are numerous. Nowadays, many students are looking to make a profession with a degree in Fine Arts not only to earn high pay but also to increase their popularity and status. Residential Accommodation Girls Hostel

Cittadini Illam , a house for Ursuline sister of Somasca is a women's hostel. Applications for hostel accommodation have to be sent to the Superior during the admission process. Under the supervision of the superior mother and sisters, the college provides housing for 30-60 students each year. The hostel structure is modern, fresh large and close to the college. The rooms are well-ventilated and equipped with tube lights, and fans and equipped with cots chairs, cupboards and a study table. There is also an eating hall that is separate from the common room and lawns that are part of the premises.

Each student shall be present for the roll call at 6.00 a.m. The prayer will follow this and all Christian students are required to be present. The morning roll call is mandatory. The study time is between 6.30 P.M. to 8.00 P.M. During study hours the students are required to attend the study room. Every month, once-a-month competitions like dancing, singing debate, quiz and Outreach Programming are held for the student's improvement.

Boys Hostel:

Miani Illam, a house for Somascan fathers is used as a hostel for male students. The College has an on-campus boys' Hostel located on campus to accommodate male students from various parts of the nation. The application for accommodation in the hostel is required to the Superior prior to admission. The Boys Hostel offers accommodation for thirty or sixty pupils. The hostel is equipped with furnished rooms with separate dining rooms as well as a common room and lawns that are part of its grounds.

St.Jerome's library at the college was founded with a volume of 2000 books.Now the library's collection is about 6174 (Title 3,203) including an number of journals and periodicals, 3 Tamil and 2 English daily. We have available 38 M.Phil and 308 PG and 107 UG Project reports. It is a warm and comfortable aspirational area with an extremely comfortable seating arrangement. It ties the reading area and includes a huge collection of research books, with separate sections for researchers.

The library is unique with its extensive collection of books and an efficient electronic library with high-technology computers that are under surveillance. Faculty members and students can access our library and they can access the library by using library tickets. The college is blessed to have three state-of-the-art computer labs that are available to B.Sc Computer Science, M.Sc computing science and BCA student, equipped with more than 90 computers of the latest generation.

Our students are also part of both the Manonmaniam Sundaranar Univerity Football and Kadadi teams. To boost the enthusiasm and athletic abilities of aspiring sportsmen, a day of sports is organized at the College each year and inter-departmental competitions in sports are held. Cafe/Mess Facility:

A well-planned college Cafeteria is a source of nutrition that can keep students' energy levels in a safe and clean manner and therefore meets the requirements of the students and staff. Foods, drinks that are unhealthy and the consumption of plastic is extremely restricted on the campus.

Auditorium:
St.Jerome's School of Arts and Science has a well-equipped Br. Antonio Gali auditorium, which has the capacity to seat more than 1100 people. The auditorium is large, well-ventilated and has well-furnished halls. The auditorium is equipped with all the amenities to aid in education and is large enough that meets the diverse demands of a high-quality education. In addition, the Dias inside the auditorium is very well-lit and a podium is visible to the audience in the last row. It is the focal point of academic event like International seminars as well as National seminars, debates and quizzes, symposiums and campus interviews and many more events. Seminar Hall:

The college is home to an equipped, spacious and impressive Seminar Hall. The hall is complete with equipment like a projector audio-visual equipment, aids and amplifiers among others. The college is constantly inviting at times prominent academicians and experts from various fields to speak to the students and the faculty about various topics, subjects that are academic and other related pursuits to expand the horizons of knowledge of students and staff members as well. The venue is fitted with a big stage with two green rooms and comfortable seating. It also has carpeting, wall panelling to create audio effects as well as restrooms and lockers.

The goal of an auditorium is to improve its quality of education. In order to achieve this the auditorium has amenities like LCD projections, screens, and whiteboards for teaching. St Jerome College Admission

For admission to Post Graduate courses (PG), a candidate must have passed the 3 years degree courses (under the 10+2+3 pattern) recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

For admission to all PG courses other than MBA and MCA, the qualifying examination marks in part III (Major, Allied/ Ancillary) alone shall be taken into consideration.
