St Mary's College, Thrissur In the 6th semester, placements were happened. Companies like Wipro and TCS were there to give us direct placements. NIIT representatives approached the BCA department Head to provide their course placements provided by them after the course completion of the BCA and NIIT courses. I then joined NIIT in the second semester of the BCA course. 14 students out of 36 got placement in WIPRO. The criteria to join the placement was to get passed every semester without any backlogs and there should be a minimum of 60 % of marks every semester. The package of placement offered was 18000 Rs starting and offered Master's degree also provided by WIPRO itself. I planned to get a job immediately after the course and I joined the job in September 2016 as a Software Developer in Java.
