Astronomical Observatory:

The Astronomical Observatory was set up in observance of the International Year of Astronomy and the Ruby Jubilee of the Department of Physics in 2009. It was installed in the College as a memorial of the late Prof. K.M. Mathew, the HOD of Physics and former Principal of the College. The facility, initially named Prof. K M Mathew Astroview Centre was relocated and upgraded to an Astronomical observatory in 2022. The observatory provides stargazing facilities to students and the public.

Auditorium:

St Stephen's College Uzhavoor, Kottayam auditorium called, the 'Chazhikattu Hall' is named after the late Sri. Joseph Chazhikattu was a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. He was a visionary who held the interests of the people of Uzhavoor close to his heart and was instrumental in getting Government sanction for the college in 1964. The spacious hall with a capacity of more than a thousand seats is utilized for all common functions of the college.

Library:

St Stephen's College Uzhavoor, Kottayam holdings in terms of books, journals, learning materials, and technology-aided learning mechanisms are organized in such a way as to enable the students to acquire information, knowledge, and skills required for their study program. The college library, which started functioning right from the beginning of the college in 1964, is the key resource of information for the academic community. At present, it has attained the position of a 1st Grade Library with more than 34,000 books, 65 periodicals, and a subscription to 10 newspapers. Xerox facility is available in the library. The library is automated using 'Koha', a well-known open-source Integrated Library Management Software that has a number of advanced features, enabling the college library to become more user-oriented in the current digital era. Besides very suitable and convenient library administrative modules, Koha software can provide a handful of attractive interfaces from the user's point of view, like quick search and access, Web-OPAC, and the feasibility of integrating new technologies like RFID.

Peace Park:

St Stephen's College Uzhavoor, Kottayam is an initiative begun in tandem with the Peace Club. Inaugurated on August 15, the aim is to create a calming atmosphere for the students, especially in the wake of the pandemic that affected many psychologically and spiritually. On September 22 the Peace Park was opened to students, after the installation of a statue of the Mahatma - the invoker of non-violence in India, to support and inspire those who need encouragement.

Faculty: 

St Stephen's College Uzhavoor, Kottayam is very efficient and qualified. The permanent staff are selected by assessing their qualification and an interview is conducted by the management. The college is under Knanaya Management. There are a total of nine departments and each department has an HOD. Also, there are permanent and guest lecturers.

Placement: 

Every year certain companies conduct a recruitment process in our college. Companies like MRF, Wipro, and private companies conduct recruitment processes. Other than the recruitment process, these companies also provide free seminars to prepare for job interviews and exams.
