The College of Arts and Sciences of Santa Teresa de Mala was founded in 1975 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The driving force behind this crucial endeavor was the visionary St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, founder of the CMI Assembly. St. Teresa's College of Arts and Sciences began as a private institution offering various UG courses with 240 students and 14 teachers. The college was affiliated with the University of Calicut in 2013. The College is registered under Consistent Support and has extensive platforms available for students seeking excellence in science, sports, and the arts. Career-oriented extracurricular courses are also offered to train our students in employable skills that match the emerging challenges in the job market.

The 65-inch Android TV has given the teach-learn approach a much-needed boost. The campus is also equipped with Wi-Fi and network connectivity has been extended to the computer lab, college library, classrooms, associated classrooms, and office.
