St.Thomas Arts and Science College has a dedicated Placement and training Cell that conducts various training sessions on Personality Development, Teamwork, Aptitude, and Career Guidance for the Students to enhance & brush up their skills.  

OVERVIEW OF THE PLACEMENT AND TRAINING CELL 

• Providing career-oriented training, guidance, and job opportunities to students through various training programs and recruitment drives.

• Soft skill and personality Development training sessions continuously to the students from 1st year to final year.

• Expert Special lectures for the benefit of the students and the staff members.

• Career counseling and awareness programs on various job opportunities for students of different streams.

• Recruitment aid to students in various companies on the campus or off campus.

Placement Process

Invitations along with the recruitment brochure and JAF (Job Announcement Form) are sent to recruiters. After receiving the filled JAF, the pre-placement talk dates are finalized in consultation with the company. The relevant information is then passed on to the students and then posted on the Placement Cell Noticeboard. Students register with Placement Cell for the pre-placement talk. The company is given access to student details according to the company recruitments. After the recruitment procedure is conducted on the allotted date, the companies announce the list of selected students to the placement cell officials. Companies are requested to provide the list of selected students to the placement cell officials preferably on the same day. In case, the list is not provided on the same day, the students will be allowed to apply to companies conducting placements on the following days until the Placement cell is informed about the list of selected students.  

Placement information

The placement cell handles every aspect of placement at St.Thomas Arts and Science College. The placement cell officials and volunteers provide all possible assistance to recruiters in arranging pre-placement discussions, conducting tests, interviews, etc. Arrangements are made in auditoriums and lecture halls fully equipped with all the latest multimedia and Wi-Fi facilities for pre-placement talks etc. Fully equipped seminar rooms are available for group discussions and personal interviews.

St.Thomas Arts and Science College is situated in Puthencruz, a pleasant green suburb of Cochin, outside the hustle and bustle of city life. It is on the same campus as the Patriarchial Centre, the Headquarters of Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church, and only 10 kilometers away from Tripunithura.
