The St Thomas Institute for Science and Technology (STIST) was founded in 2010 by the Mar Thoma Church Educational Society, Trivandrum, pioneers in education with over 50 years of experience. Our patron is Dr.  Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan and our President is Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa, Bishop of Thiruvananthapuram - Kollam Diocese of Mar Thoma Church. The company operates renowned educational institutions in Trivandrum, including St Thomas Residential School (ICSE), St Thomas Central School (CBSE), St Thomas Central School (CBSE), St. Thomas Higher Secondary School (State Curriculum), St George Thomas Public School and Teachers' College. Located on 50 acres, College is dedicated to the generation, dissemination, preservation, and utilization of knowledge in the face of the challenges we face. The aim is to create a strong competence center with the most modern teaching and research facilities.

St. Thomas Institute for Science and  Technology offers (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Computer Science Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Postgraduate Programs in Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

St. Thomas Institute for Science and Technology has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from St. Thomas Institute for Science and Technology, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the St. Thomas Institute for Science and Technology are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Computer Lab: 

The computer center of the college has more than 300 networked computers. All systems are on a local network managed by two rack servers. The range of software currently available in the labs included Microsoft products, Red Hat Enterprise Editions, and CAD software such as Solid Edge and AutoCAD. The College has a dedicated leased line that allows unlimited internet use at 32 Mbit/s. All students and teachers can use the IT facilities. 

Library: 

The Central Library of STIST serves as an academic center for technical learning and is directly related to the development of each student. It also serves as a gateway to knowledge for faculty and other staff by providing a hybrid collection of books, journals, journals, e-zines, and other digital resources. 

Canteen: 

The college has a fully functional canteen serving vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Management strives to maintain the quality of the food served in the canteen. Soft drinks, cakes, and other meals and snacks are also served by the canteen for a fee. We have provided two numbers of coffee and tea machines within two blocks of the college The canteen is always cleaned with disinfectants and kept as hygienic as possible and well ventilated with sufficient air circulation. 

Hostel: 

The college offers boys and girls a comfortable, safe, and inclusive living environment on campus. Internal teachers have a responsibility to ensure the welfare of the students. The Hostel Tax Payment Gateway is available online on the STIST website. Excellent accommodations and facilities are available on campus for visiting professors/resources coming for seminars/seminars, lectures, workshops, etc. Various recreational and sports facilities are available to residents on a scenic and modern 20-acre campus. Accommodation for boys and girls is also available in accommodation operated by Marthoma Church Education Society in Mukkolakkal, subject to availability. The dormitory is connected to the university via the college bus.
