The college was established to meet the emerging industrial need for qualified manpower and provide adequate facilities for training youth to become efficient, skillful technicians and engineers. Suguna College of Engineering, Coimbatore is established under Suguna Charitable Trust founded in the year 1973 by the leading Industrialist Sri. G. Ramaswamy. The college is located 1 km off the Coimbatore – Avinashi National Highway (NH47), at Nehru Nagar, Near International Airport, Coimbatore City- 641 014.

Library:

The College comprises a well-established library with 7500 volumes of Technical books, Dailies, and weekly magazines. The library is primarily intended for the use of students, faculty, and staff members. The library is kept open all weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Transport Facilities:

The College offers a bus service for the benefit of students coming from distant places within Coimbatore city. Each bus with a capacity of 35-40 seats passes through different routes to cover major areas and colonies of Coimbatore. These buses are also used for industrial visits and short-distance excursion trips.

Sports Facilities:

The College has an indoor playing arena with a wooden court for badminton and volleyball. It also has a vast ground with athletic tracks where outdoor games can be conducted. For cultural activities, the college has a big auditorium with a seating capacity of 2000 people.

Canteen:

The College has a spacious canteen facility on the college premises. A variety of south Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at highly subsidized rates with the highest quality. Refreshments are available at the college canteen at affordable rates. Adequate seating facilities are provided to accommodate students and staff even during peak times.

Canteen has a big kitchen with a steam cooking facility. Food items are prepared with RO-treated water. As well as offering healthy food daily.

Hostel Facilities:

SCE offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the COLLEGE campus. We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus, and providing a homely atmosphere. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with a hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day-to-day management. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light. Hygienic and nutritious meals are provided by the mess three times a day.
