Sullamussalam Science College is a first-grade aided college affiliated with the University of Calicut, approved by the University Grants Commission, and accredited by the NAAC with an A grade. The College is located on the picturesque hills of Perumparamba on the banks of the river Chaliyar, a kilometer away from Areacode town in Malappuram District. The college is run by the Muslim Educational Association, an educational organization formed in 1994 under the auspices of Jamiyyathul Mujahideen Sangam, one of the pioneer reformist Muslim educational movements in Malabar. The college was founded with the objective of imparting quality education to backward minority communities in rural areas of Malabar. The college library, started in 1996, situated in the central part of the campus is one of the fully automated notable libraries focused on quality-based collection and best services in Kerala. The Library is a member of the N-list Programme under INFLIBNET. Including the Digital Library all functions of the library are developed in the light of S.R Ranganathan`s theory of `Five Laws of Library Science`. All days except Sundays and public holidays are working days from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. The Digital Library is available in all Departments of the College, Women's Resource Centre, Computer Labs, and Language Lab through Campus Network. Separate sections are arranged for the users, especially in Reference Service, Career Guidance Corner, Comparative Religion, Bound volumes of the Journals, CD Bank, Question Bank, and Subject Books.

Computer Technology:

We have a central computing facility called Network Center, located centrally consisting of more than 148 computers. This is functional from morning 9 am to evening 5 pm with the assistance of the staff. All the computers are connected to the internet through  2 BSNL fiber optic connections of 100 MBps speed and controlled by cyberoam CR 35iNG firewall.

Multi Gym:

SS College is providing better facilities for Sports and Games. Every year Annual Sports is being conducted in the college. We are providing excellent facilities for sports. We are giving equal preference to sports and games along with academic activities. We are acquiring SS College has a well-trained professional football team. We also won many titles in various football tournaments. SS College is maintaining a Multi propose stadium with 200 Meter track as well as a Football and Cricket ground. Many football, as well as cricket tournaments, are held in this stadium. The college has 2 badminton courts, a Table Tennis court and a Lawn Tennis Court where students and staff are practicing daily.

Girl's hostel:

The college provides excellent hostel facilities for students. Girls hostel is located on the campus itself so it makes easy access between college and students. The hostel facilities are of high quality and well-equipped. The Girl's hostel can accommodate 100 girls. Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The rooms provide the most modern facilities and privacy. The hostel system runs under the control of chief warden Aysha and a resident tutor. The mess is spacious, highly hygienic, and elegant. Internet and Computer Facilities are also available in the hostel.

Media Lab:

The Department has a full-fledged, state-of-the-art Media Lab with all the facilities for the practical training of the students including DSLR and Professional Cameras, Tripods, Microphones, Audio Recorders, Mixer, Digital Audio Workstation, Mac Editing Machine, Teleprompter, Audio Booth and Shooting Floor.  The department has also a separate computer lab for the print, audio, and video production exercises of the students.

Indoor Stadium:

The college has a state-of-the-art multi-purpose indoor training hall of 36x28 meters in size for the training of students and staff. Constructed with the financial assistance of the University Grants Commission, this indoor training hall has four badminton courts, one basketball court, and a volleyball court. Paved with wooden flooring, the hall can also be used for conducting Yoga, Gymnastics, Judo, Wushu, and similar indoor activities.

Cafeteria:

The college has a well-maintained canteen. The canteen is spacious enough to accommodate a large number of students and also has a comfortable sitting arrangement. The canteen caters to refreshments and eatables for students, staff, and visitors.

Faculty: 

College is good. Also, the teachers are very friendly and energetic. We can catch anything easily. And the college has good infrastructure facilities. The surrounding is very kept and calm. I am qualified for an interview.
