Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan’s College of Pharmacy (SVBCP), established in the year 1993 has completed 27 years of excellence in education. The college managed by Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan Trust, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, offers Graduate (B.Pharmacy – 4 years) courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Post Graduate (M.Pharmacy – 2 years) courses in two disciplines: Pharmacognosy and Quality Assurance.  The college also offers Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry and Diploma in Pharmacy.

SVB Pharmacy of College, Thane take every effort to encourage our students to participate in various social, cultural, and sports activities. Modern style well equipped Gymnasium. Table Tennis and Carom facilities are available to the Students. The land has been purchased at Davadi a village in Dombivli for building a sophisticated well-equipped sports school.

I.T Infrastructure

SVB Pharmacy of College, Thane has a Computer center equipped with 50 computers. It has the latest and frequently used software with a Wi-Fi facility. The students are trained to handle various software programs as per the curriculum of the University of Mumbai. 

Laboratories

SVB Pharmacy of College, Thane has Eleven laboratories and two Instrument Rooms help students to practically learn the theoretical concepts and also the skill of working with sophisticated equipment. Each laboratory is provided with firefighting equipment, an emergency shower, and a first-aid box for safety. Animal House facility approved by the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experimentation on Animals (CPCSEA) is available to conduct experiments using various animals like mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits.

Auditorium

SVB Pharmacy of College, Thane has a spacious, air-conditioned auditorium with 500 seating capacity “S.V.B’s, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Auditorium” is available on the campus for conducting various events. It is equipped with the provision of a sound system, projector, LED screen, and backstage. Seminar Hall: The institute has an air-conditioned, well-furnished, and suitably equipped seminar hall with an audiovisual system and a seating capacity of 150.

Placement

On campus, there is a full-fledged office for the Training and Placement department. The department features a private boardroom and five-panel rooms with all of the necessary equipment to conduct campus hiring programs. SVB Pharmacy of College, Thane placement cell conducts an introductory talk about the opportunities, as well as career growth and planning, along with sessions on communication skills, and soft skills. Admission 

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) Eligibility Criteria

The Candidate should have passed the HSC (Std XII) Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with PCB/PCM group with English as one of the subjects and secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% for backward class candidates from Mah) and passed MAH – PHCET secured Non-Zero Marks or D.Pharmacy with Minimum 50% marks.

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) Eligibility Criteria

The Candidate should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with PCB/PCM Group.

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) Eligibility Criteria

For admission to First Year M. Pharm, a candidate should fulfill the following criteria:

The Candidate should be an Indian National.

Obtained score in GPAT.

Passed Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from any All India Council for Technical Education or Pharmacy Council of India or Central or State Government approved institution, with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of backward class category and Persons with permanent disabilities belonging to Maharashtra State only). The Candidates should have registration with State Pharmacy Council. The candidates not having registration should produce the registration certificate within one month after securing admission.

For sponsored candidates, a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/ company/industry/ educational and or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
