Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy (SVCP) is a premier institution of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in the region, approved by All India Council of Technical Education India (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The institute has covered a long and glorious journey of 11 years. In its travelogue, the Institute crossed multiple milestones and continues to head ahead towards its well-defined goals.SVCP takes advantage of our position as the oldest college of pharmacy in the region to offer an undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy curriculum that is one of the most innovative in today’s scenario. Our program emphasizes communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative approach to providing patient-focused health care. The innovative curriculum integrates foundational knowledge in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences with information and skills in the clinical, behavioral and social sciences. The strong base of the institute has been built on by its Veterans and now bank on a very strong faculty. A good number of publications which include research papers, review articles, books, national and international patents, and a number of research projects sponsored by Govt. and Industrial agencies, and academic and research awards simply convey the success story.

Smart Class Rooms

Classrooms are one of the main platforms where effective learning takes place. We have taken all the possible care while designing our world-class classrooms so that our students learn effectively from our teachers and get a facility for participative learning. Classrooms are well-ventilated, spacious, and equipped with overhead and LCD projectors along with a public address system with proper arrangements for Laptop power supply. The furniture used in classrooms is of un-compromised international quality to enable students for 8 hours of comfortable and continuous learning.

Multi Cuisine Cafeteria

A well-furnished cafeteria is located in the heart of the campus. Considering that a large number of students eat in the canteen every day; special efforts have been put to maintain the quality of the food served that provides all types of nutrition. Special care is taken to maintain the status and hygiene of the accommodation as well as the surrounding habitat and hence the canteen area has been made a polythene-free zone to take all the possible care of health.

Library:

The Library offers a range of information services set to the highest professional standards. The well-furnished and air-conditioned library is located on the first floor of the administrative section of the college building and spreads over 10,000 square feet, with a seating capacity for 200 students. The library is divided into two sections: The Reading Hall plus Stacking Area and The staff Area.SVGI with its high-tech library has progressed a good deal by acquiring different kinds of documents especially E-resources, cataloging & processing them appropriately, and storing and giving access to its users not only in library premises but also on desktops in any part of the world. The library database resources include more than 25,000 books and 121 National and International  journals. The Learning Resource provides a number of innovative information services including Journal Content Service, News Clipping Service and Monthly Documents Additions Lists.

Sports:

Sports are an integral part for the overall development of a student. Proper sports facilities for the students are available with dedicated sports officers; who ensure that sports are given topmost priority in extracurricular activities. Students regularly participate and represent the institute in various indoor as well as outdoor sports tournaments held in different parts of the country. Encouragement and training is given to each student in their respective interested sport by experts
