Syamsundar College, Bardhaman has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from Syamsundar College, Bardhaman, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. Library:

The Syamsundar College Library has been an integral part of the institution since its inception in 1948, initially established to meet the academic and research requirements of faculty, students, and non-teaching staff. However, the systematic Accession Register was initiated in 1957.

Situated on the first floor of the Golden Jubilee Bhaban, the library boasts a well-organized collection of books categorized according to Class No. Manuscripts, Rare Books, and Confined Books are segregated from the general stock. Classification is done meticulously following the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) 22nd edition, ensuring precise subject arrangement. Recent acquisitions are regularly updated through the Library Management Software KOHA. Additionally, the library houses books pertinent to various competitive examinations, general knowledge, and other relevant documents, each section carefully curated for easy access. The library occupies a total area of 3894.8 sq. ft., inclusive of working spaces. Two computers connected via LAN are available for the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). The second floor houses a spacious reading hall with a seating capacity of 50 for students and teachers, complemented by two computers providing internet access. To ensure security, surveillance cameras have been installed throughout the library premises.

Departmental Libraries:

Syamsundar College Each Honours department is furnished with its departmental library, stocked with books commonly required by students of that particular subject. These departmental libraries facilitate both reading and lending activities as needed. The collection typically comprises specimen copies from publishers and loans from the Central Library, ensuring that resources are readily available to teachers and regular students for teaching and learning enhancement purposes.
