• In 1971, the university was founded. Symbiosis Skills and Open University is commonly referred to as SSOU. It was founded through the efforts of none other than the Dr. Shantaram Majumdar, Padma Bhushan recipient, in recognition of his contribution to the educational field. Since its inception, Symbiosis has grown to become a huge education organization with over twenty colleges and schools that are part of them.   The open university does not offer direct placements for students, however students studying at SSPU Pune are directed to the opportunity of a two-month internship (included in the course) with top-recruiting companies.   Admission to SSPU

  The admissions process at universities varies between courses. The majority of programs accept students based on marks scored in the qualifying test.
