Facilities and Infrastructure

The campus provides a positive and conducive environment for study with its lush green and peaceful atmosphere. TEC campus is spread over 45 acres of land and has separate blocks for engineering, management, and administration apart from individual state-of-the-art lab facilities for physics, chemistry, engineering mechanics, CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, CIVIL, MECH, and Aeronautical departments.

High-speed internet facility: TEC, once again is one of the very few private engineering colleges with high-speed broadband net connection i.e., 256 Kbps speed. This enables the students to do their research work, practicals, and projects at a good speed and to excel in their academics thereby fulfilling the corporate expectation of quality technical education.

Residential Accommodations:

The College has separate hostels for boys and girls with all the facilities which ensure a comfortable life for our students and work-friendly conditions for the execution of their studies. The hostel has spacious rooms on sharing basis. Each room is fully furnished with bedding, work tables, and cupboards. Provision has been made in each room to accommodate the use of personal computers by students. The hostel has a modern Kitchen and serving facilities and is professionally managed. Care is taken to service facilities and is professionally managed. Care is taken to serve wholesome and nutritious food. Adequate security arrangements have been made for the safety and security of the inmates.

Library:

The library forms an important component of any educational institution. Our library is housed in a spacious building. Our institution encourages all students and staff members to make the best use of the library. The college library is well-equipped in terms of books and current journals subscription. In addition to the main library, each department has a departmental library. The Main library, which functions under the open access system, has a total collection of 46682 books and 10645 titles. In addition, the library subscribes to IEEE/IEE, ASPP+POP, ASME, and J-GATE online International Journals, and 110 Numbers of printed periodicals. It is also equipped with 2399 CD-ROMs, 2208 Projects, and 1126 Back Volumes.

Sports Facilities:

There is a Sports Council composed of sports-oriented members of staff and the Physical Director. There is a spacious playground within the compound for playing various outdoor games like Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Kabbadi, etc., and indoor games like Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom Board, Billiards, etc. Students are trained and encouraged to participate in all intercollegiate, Inter-University, and Tamil Nadu Inter Engineering Sports (TIES) meets Intra-mural events, and annual sports meets are held yearly. Our students have won laurels in sports and games by taking part in competitions both at college and intercollegiate levels.

Cafe/Mess Facility:

The canteen caters to the food needs of both the staff and the students. The dining hall is adequately furnished with an area of 3000 sq. ft. Care is taken that the food offered is of good quality and nutritious.

Transport:

The College has its fleet of buses for the transport of the students and staff from various locations of Chennai to the College so as to enable them to reach the college in time and return comfortably. This arrangement helps them to maintain punctuality and to have safe travel.
