Teresian College was founded in 1963 by Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) to fulfill the vision and mission of St. Teresa of Avila, the patron saint of Teresian who symbolizes selfless dedication and devotion to the cause of oppressed and less privileged was the source of motivation and inspiration.

Residential Accommodations

The college has four well-designed and well-furnished hostels which can accommodate nearly 500 students. A canteen and a lounge with a telephone booth are located on the hostel premises. A warden (normally a trained sister) will be in charge of each hostel where strict discipline is maintained. At an extra cost, a more comfortable stay is also available. Fees The Hostel which is located on the campus is under the direct supervision of the Sisters. Students seeking admission to the hostel must be willing to abide by the rules of the hostel.

Teresian College has a well-furnished computer lab with a total of 141 computers with internet connections / Bioinformatics lab with an LCD projector.

A good and spacious auditorium is a must for developing the extracurricular interests of students. It will accommodate all students when the full student strength is achieved. The auditorium is elevated to facilitate a clear view of the stage and acoustics will ensure a pleasing audience experience.

The college has a well-equipped lab with a separate working room, inoculation room, culture room, and instrumentation room, with a gel documentation unit with a camera, BOD incubator, deep freezer, Remi- cooling centrifuge, laminar air flow, electrophoresis units, chromatography types of equipment, UV trans illuminator, Spectrophotometer, colorimeter, trinocular & binocular microscopes.

Slide projectors, overhead projectors, T.V., V.C.P., Tape recorders, and a wide range of audio and video cassettes are available for the use of the students. The college gives special emphasis to guidance services. Academic and personal counseling is extended to students through trained counselors.

Our Institution also provides 24-hour CSB Bank and South Indian Bank ATM facilities for students and staff. Hostel students are able to use the ATM at any time within the campus premises.

Facilities for students to actively participate and train in sports and game events are facilitated by the college.

Admissions at Teresian College is purely Merit-Based; on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
