Neotia University is one of the most prestigious private universities in West Bengal. The university was established by the Ambuja Neotia Group in 2015. The West Bengal State Government Act XXIII, 2014, was the basis for its establishment. Neotia University offers a variety of courses at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. TNU has been approved by the University Grants Commission.

The Economic Times awarded the Neotia University the "Symbol of Excellence In Education & Skilling India’s Future". TNU was also named the Most Emerging University for Robotics Education. TNU has many partnerships with companies that allow students to gain more experience while also getting proper placement opportunities. TNU has also received numerous awards, particularly in the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering.

Offers Courses

TNU offers UG and PG programs in Science & Technology and Maritime Studies, Agriculture & Allied Sciences and Hospitality Administration and Culinary Arts. B.Tech, B.Sc and Integrated degree programs such as BBA+LLB or BA+LLB, M.Tech and MSc, MHM, and BHM are the most popular courses at TNU. TNU also offers UG courses in Optometry and Pharmacy, Fisheries Science, and Physiotherapy.

Infrastructure

TNU offers a variety of facilities on its campus that enhance the student's learning experience. Along with advanced labs and seminar rooms, Smart classrooms encourage hands-on experience, particularly in the area of experiments.

Library

TNU's library is one of the largest, covering approximately 8000 square feet. ft. Neotia University also has 3 million journals and 30,000 books from around the world.

There are separate libraries on campus for each department. Students can also get help from expert librarians to navigate the vast collection of journals and books.

Students also have full access via the Wi-Fi provided by TNU at the campus to E-Journal or E-Books.

Hostel

There are four hostels on campus at Neotia University. Three hostels are reserved for boys, however. Although the girls hostel is distinct, all hostels provide basic amenities for safety and comfort.

Each hostel is equipped with reliable security and power backups. The Neotia University hostel has a warden who can cater to students' security and needs. If a student is allergic to food or has dietary restrictions, there are exceptions.

Computer Centre and sports complex

Students at Neotia University Kolkata have access to the most advanced technology and apparatus. Additionally, the laboratory has trained technicians who supervise students while they are performing experiments.

Neotia University also offers facilities for sports and physical activity. TNU offers both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Badminton and volleyball are some of the outdoor games. TNU also has indoor space available for snooker, carom, and table tennis.

Scholarships

TNU offers 8 scholarships to students for UG and PG programs. The university offers scholarships for students who excel in sports, siblings, students, graduates, and students from North-East states, Nepal and Bhutan, as well as merit- and need-based scholarships. These scholarships include:

Tejasvi Scholarship: Available to both economically and meritorious students. The amount of the award is determined based on financial conditions and qualifying exam marks/JEE rankings. Tuition fees can be covered by 25%-100% scholarships for students.

Sarvodaya Scholarship - This scholarship is merit-cum-need. Tuition fees are waived for students who pay 25% to 100%.

Sports Scholarship: 25% scholarship available to state- and national-level athletes

Cultural Scholarship: 25% scholarship available to participants and champions in state- and national-level cultural competitions.

Mere Apne Scholarship: 25 and 50% scholarships for employees of Ambuja Neotia Group

Sahodarya Scholarship: A 25% and 50% scholarship is available to siblings of current or graduate students at TNU.

Gramotthan Scholarship: Students from South 24 Pargana's Gram Panchayat Area are eligible for a 25% or 50% scholarship.

Special Hill Scholarship for Students: 25 and 50% scholarships available to students in the GTA, North-East, Nepal, Bhutan, and other areas.

Admission

Minimum eligibility criteria to be admitted to B.Tech programs is 10+2 with PCM main subjects and at least 60% aggregate.

All UG courses and B.Tech are offered to candidates who pass the TNU Entrance Test (Tests 1 and 2).

WBJEE and JEE Main qualified applicants can also apply to the B.Tech program.

To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech (Lateral Entry), program, you must have a B.Sc. or Diploma in the relevant field.

Admission to PG and UG courses is based on merit. The university then conducts an interview.
