Oxford College Of Arts (OCA), Bangalore is located in the green plains of HSR Layout in a serene atmosphere conducive to academic pursuits. Oxford College of Arts welcomes students to its BA, MA in Journalism and Mass Communication, and MSW in Social Work (MSW) for its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In 2006, the college had only one combination of undergraduate programs, now the college has three combinations of BA programs and two undergraduate programs. While the emphasis is on academic excellence, holistic personality development and instilling values ??among students are equally important. A dynamic administration and dedicated faculty join hands to realize these goals through a solid teaching and learning environment supported by co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Facilities and Infrastructure

Psychology Laboratory:

Oxford College of Art has a well-equipped psychology laboratory. State-of-the-art infrastructure is available to enable students to train personally to excel in their practical skills. Students are trained by qualified teachers.

Studio:

The Oxford College of Art studio has its own state-of-the-art camera (Sony PD170), audio storage, soft lights (LED), Black Magic Deck, condenser microphones, column microphone, color key, and the latest FCP video editing software. and ProTools audio editing software. The studio has all the facilities that allow students to create documentaries and short films in real-time.

Library:

The computer library has books, encyclopedias, newspapers, magazines, e-books, CDs, INFLIBNET, and DELNET on four floors. It can accommodate 250 people. The university library has 40,000 books and 200 national and international journals.

Academic Counselling:

Students are guided throughout the academic semester through psychological tests, case studies, and extracurricular activities.

Hostel:

There are separate hostels for both boys and girls with spacious, well-air-conditioned/furnished rooms.

Library and Information Centre (LIC):

The Library and Information Center (LIC) is rapidly developing into one of the most sought-after reference libraries for professional education and research. It started operations in 1994. All bibliographic information from books, journals, and CD-ROM databases is available through the campus network. The library has a large number of printed materials and subscribes to national and international magazines. It established connections with other organizations for the exchange of institute publications and an interlibrary loan agreement. The library is an information center open to teachers and students. The library has more than 1410 volumes on various subjects and 1924 titles. The development of resources of each department is very careful. Our library subscribes to 21 international and national periodicals and has a good collection of the latest CDs on various subjects. Library management operations are fully automated using Libsoft Library Automation Software and RFID technology.

Admission

Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks. Candidates who have completed Bachelor's degree with 50% marks in all branch examinations. A degree in journalism electives is acceptable. Candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree from Bangalore University or other recognized equivalent university with 50% marks in all subjects including languages ??are eligible.
