The Thiruvalluvar Institute of Distance Education (TIDE), Thiruvalluvar University offers fee concession to differently-abled persons and prisoners subject to the subsequent norms: Differently abled candidates with 75% physical disability are going to be considered for exemption from tuition fee provided they submit a “Disability Certificate” obtained from “The Director, Institute of Physical Disability and Rehabilitation”, K.K. Nagar, Chennai. Prisoners in Tamil Nadu are also considered exempt from tuition fees provided they submit their application for admission with a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the competent authority.
