The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) was founded in 1971 and is a medical university in Delhi. The institute is a network center for the National Center for Brain Research. Admission

College of Medical Sciences' accepts National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-(NEET-PG) for admission into Postgraduate courses. Admission is based on the Merit list and the entrance exam taken by the university.MBBS admissions are based on the results of the NEET entrance exam.

Scholarships:

The college offer scholarships for students and Post Metric Scholarship for Scheduled castes students, Saraswati Foundation Endowment Scholarship- Rs. 2000 per month on a merit basis, V.C. Student’s Fund: Rs. 200 per month to needy students on a merit basis, Dr. A.N. Duggal Endowment Scholarship- Rs. 100 per month to needy students on a merit basis, NCERT Scholarship- Rs. 200 per month on academic progress to financially challenged students

The college course offers 100% placements as our country has a shortage of doctors. The salary package starts from a low range, but as we gain experience throughout our medical practice, the income also increases exponentially.

Cultural Activities

Medicomasti, the youth festival at the Perfect Health Mela organized by the Heart Care Foundation of India and MTNL was organized and presented by the students. Ripple ’03, organized by Pramit, the Cultural Secretary, was held partly on the college campus and partly at Pragati Maidan where the fashion show and celebrity night were held. The choreography team of 2003 led by Ashish George won many prizes. It got the first prize in UCMS and LHMC, and the second prize at MAMC and Hindu College.

Multi-disciplinary Research

Multi-disciplinary Research Units (MRU), a central research facility established at University College of Medical Sciences & GTB Hospital through the Department of Health and Research (DHR) and ICMR, Government of India to strengthen the Public Health Research/Clinical Research in India.
