Trilochan Kanungo, former Member of Parliament (LS), educator, and social thinker of our time, and thanks to the generous and noble financial contributions of the late Udayanath Sahoo from the area, the college was able to overcome the difficulties.  Named after the Patron Udayanath College of Science & Technology, the college moved to its own building in Prachi Jnanapitha (current location) on December 3, 1986. The other two learning and trading streams were established at the HS St. level and three streams were officially recognized and merged in 1.
