Campus

From the early days of its inception, University Law College, Bangalore University was situated in the City Campus of Bangalore University, close to the state’s legislative and highest judicial seat. However, at the beginning of the academic year 2006-07, ULC shifted from the heritage campus to a new spacious building situated in the sprawling Jnana Bharathi Campus of Bangalore University, which is located on 1,100 acres (4.5 km2) of land. This state-of-the-art new facility hosts eight classrooms where formal teaching sessions are conducted for both B.A., LL.B (Hons), and LL.M. programs, two seminar halls, an independent library, and an administrative block. The Bangalore University canteen and other shared facilities are located close by. This new eco-friendly campus is also equipped with a rainwater harvesting system and a Wi-Fi facility. In addition to these facilities, though ULC is a non-residential law college, separate hostel facilities are available for male and female students within the Jnana Bharathi campus of Bangalore University.

Residential Accommodation

The University Law College, Bangalore University library is enriched with many books, dissertations, Ph.D.theses, journals, journals, and law reviews. It also offers online subscriptions such as Manupatra, JSTOR, Oxford University Press, Cambridge Press, etc.; the library has about 36,229 books, 1,780 journal volumes, about 37 current newspapers, 14 journals, 42 magazines, two databases, and 18,000 other reference materials.

Student Clubs: 

The student initiative at University Law College, Bangalore University is its greatest strength and a spirit of collaboration with a wide variety of student interest groups. Although originally students from both urban and rural areas of Karnataka turned to ULC for further education law, today, students come from various parts of the country and also from various foreign countries.  Cultural and Literary Festivals – ULC also hosts an annual intercollegiate literary and cultural festival, in addition to intra-college cultural activities. Having successfully organized such festivals in the past under different names, ULC continues this tradition with its law festival called Jus Celebre.

Sports Facilities: 

At present, University Law College, Bangalore University regularly organizes annual sports day and other sporting events such as intra-community football, basketball, and cricket tournaments for boys and girls.  In addition to hosting tournaments, the college has also participated in various intercollegiate sports tournaments and emerged victorious on several occasions. Our university students have also participated in various national and international tournaments.

Admission to the UG course is finalized based on the merit list released by the University Law College, Bangalore University management. For admission, LLM program candidates need to qualify for the All India Admission Test.

For admission to the Ph.D. program admission candidates needs to qualify Entrance test conducted by Bangalore University. Candidates having a valid score in UGC/CSIR/JRF can take admitted to Ph.D. without any entrance test.

Internship and Campus Placement Cell

The Campus Placement & Internship Cell is a student–run the body of University Law College, Bangalore, functioning within the College framework to provide placements as well as internship opportunities to the students. The Placement Cell functions independently throughout the academic year under the supervision of the College–appointed Faculty Coordinator, the Senior Faculty member, and the Principal of the College.

The Campus Placement & Internship Cell strives to provide a platform for students to receive job offers, internships, placements, and any other employment opportunities by approaching potential Recruiters and inviting them to conduct on-campus or off-campus placements, interviews, and recruitment processes. It seeks to promote a healthy relationship between the students, the College Faculty, and the esteemed Recruiters, for the ultimate benefit of all involved.

Through the Campus Placement & Internship Cell, we are attempting to create a strong bond between the Students and the Recruiters, which include Law Firms, Companies, Government & Non-Government Organizations, Judicial Authorities, Advocates, Solicitors, and other Organizations likely to employ students of University Law College.
