The College is a joint venture between the Church of South India, the Diocese of Central Karnataka, Bangalore, and the Christian Educational Society of Karnataka, Mangalore. The management is characterized by the management of other renowned educational institutions. The college was founded in 1985 to meet the needs of the economically and socially poor in and around Tumkur. The main aim of the college was to equip students and help them adapt to and survive in a changing society. The college is genuinely committed to developing students' innate potential by providing them with ample opportunities for both academic and non-academic pursuits. The college is situated on a 40-acre wooded campus ideal for academic and extracurricular activities. For the holistic development of the students, the college offers unique programs such as the student forum "Spandana" and the careers advice center "Manoitha".

Sanskrit: 

"Samskruthi" is an annual cultural festival designed to allow high school students to show their hidden talents in singing, dancing, debating, acting, writing, and more. Attractive prizes will be presented to the winners as part of the University Day celebrations.

Spaniards: 

This is a weekly show designed to motivate students to reveal their hidden talents. Resource managers are prompted to contact the student. The interviews are followed by question-and-answer sessions. 

Female Power Cell, "Sabale": 

The Women's Empowerment Unit runs useful programs on gender issues. Successful women are invited as resource managers. Debates and essay competitions are organized. The aim of the programs is to raise awareness of gender issues literary.

Club “Srujana”: 

The Literature Club provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and spark an interest in literary pursuits. There are seminars, workshops, and kavi ghosts (meetings of poets) to which scholars and other institutions are invited. The English Department and the Kannada Department jointly organize various literature courses for students.

Sports:

Numerous opportunities for students to be successful in sports. Training/supervision is offered for participation in various inter-college, inter-college, and national competitions.
