Saifabad University College of Science, a college of Osmania University, is located in Masabtank, Hyderabad. It was established in 1951 at a prime location at the foothills of the Banjara Hills. Initially, the college offered only intermediate courses and was located in Gulbarga, erstwhile Nizam State. It was later moved to its current location. Late Nawab Ali Yavar Jung Bahadur, the then Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, used his benevolent offices to acquire the present college campus at Saifabad (west of Hyderabad) from the erstwhile Hyderabad Government.

Library:

University College of Science, Saifabad (UCSS) (Formerly PG College of Science, Saifabad (PGCSS) Part of Osmania University, the college is located in Masab Tank, Hyderabad, established in 1951. UCSS offers UG and PG courses and research facilities Library is the backbone of the college, and supports learning and research requirements. The library serves UG students, PG students, researchers, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, etc.

Women's Cell:

The college has a full-fledged women's cell with women teachers as members. It looks at teachers and students. It also organizes awareness programs on sexual orientation and health issues.

Medical Facilities:

The college has a Health Center with a regular doctor and all the necessary equipment to take care of the health problems of students, teaching, and non-teaching staff. The center regularly organizes health camps in collaboration with well-known hospitals.

Sports Facilities:

The Department of Physical Education was established to provide recreational activities for college students. For this purpose, 3 hectares of land have been reserved for outdoor games. Special rooms were also made for indoor games. It is a modern gym that serves the needs of the students to keep them physically and mentally fit.

Admission

The admission procedure for all U.G. students goes through DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana). The college is a co-educational institution where both boys and girls can be admitted. A student applying for B.Sc (Computers) or B.Sc (MPC, MPG, MPS), BZC, BTBC, BTZC must have passed the TS Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Examinations or any other examination recognized as equivalent in these . subjects However, all students who have passed the intermediate level can apply for the B.Sc (Computers) or B.Sc (MPC, MPG, MPS, BZC, BTBC, BTZC) course regardless of the subjects studied at the departmental level.

Placements

The college has an active placement unit that organizes regular training programs for students to prepare them for placements. It organizes internships and invites top executives from the corporate sector to deliver guest lectures and special talks to keep students motivated and inspired. This college runs many placement activities. Graduates from our college have been placed in many companies like Bharath Bio-Tech, MSN Labs, Honor Labs, Aurobindo, and GVK. Our college conducted two campus drives in 2020. 10 students from our college were placed in GVK recruitment. 12 students were selected in the drive organized by Aurobindo company in September 2021 at our university. Our students also get the opportunity to recruit in many combined positions from companies like Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, and Infosys.
