The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad was established on October 1, 1986.
It was established in 1986. University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad is an independent public institution that provides advanced education within the areas of food science, agriculture and forestry as well as marketing for agriculture. Additionally, UAS is located in the western part in Dharwad within Karnataka. Seed Unit
It is the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad is home to a highly-specialized Research-based Independent Seed Unit. Actually the seed unit was created in 1996 and the head of the administration is called a Special Seed Officer'. Additionally, the primary purpose for this Seed Unit is to maintain breeding and production of the nucleus foundation, and breeder seeds from various varieties of crops. Furthermore the seed bank is involved in research and development that are related to the seed product.
