University of Madras, Institute of Distance Education, Chennai Admission is open for all UG and PG courses for the academic session 2024-25. The application fees depend on the program in which program you want to be admitted. The University of Madras, Institute of Distance Education is also accepting applications for Lateral Entry Courses, Online Degree Programs, and Distance Education Courses.

To be eligible for any distance education course at the University of Madras students must pass the 10+2 level from a recognized board.
• Selection will be made based on entrance test scores conducted by the university.
• For B.Lit, students will be selected based on secured merit in the previous qualifying exam.
• To be eligible for any PG program students must pass graduation in related subjects from a recognized university.
• To be eligible for an MCA course, applicants must have done BCA or B.Sc in Computer Science with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level or the graduation level.
• Selection will be granted based on secured merit in the entrance exam conducted by the university.
• For an MBA course, students need to appear in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT and must exceed the minimum cutoff marks to be selected.
• To be eligible for Diploma and certificate courses, students are required to complete the 10+2 level from a recognized board.
• To be eligible for a PG Diploma course, applicants need to pass graduation from a recognized university.
Selection will be granted based on secured merit in the last qualifying examination.
