The University Of Madras, Institute Of Distance Education has a department specifically for placement. The University Students Advisory Bureau (USAB) is in charge of Madras University placement and training. Students are given the necessary training by USB so that they can be hired by the businesses they choose. The director of USAB conducts career counseling, which is another duty of the bureau to which the students are subjected.
