Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts Science and Commerce is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with Mumbai university.
Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts Science and Commerce, Mumbai courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degrees i.e Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. IT) Information Technology, Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), etc. Postgraduate Degree i.e Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Commerce (M.Com.) Library:
The Library which started with an initial collection of 175 books in the academic year 2003-2004 has now more than 6000 books in its collection. Computerization of the Library is done. It provides various services to its users and conducts activities for the benefit of its users. The Library of Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai was established in 2003, the same year in which the college was established. In the year 2007, the library shifted to its present location in the new college premises.
Sports:
Keeping its tradition, UPG continued to participate in inter-collegiate tournaments organized by the University of Mumbai. Ensuring participation at University-level tournaments has been the primary objective of the Sports Committee as it adds to the pride of our college. The students get an opportunity to widen their horizons and at the same time develop a spirit of confidence to surpass any hurdle.
National Service Scheme:
NSS (National Service Scheme) is an initiative by the government of India which works towards India’s progress through social work and community development. This unique platform allows students to give as much to society as they take away from it in the form of their own personal growth. Our motto “Not Me But You” encapsulates the motivation behind all that we have been able to achieve in the past year – come take a glance into our journey.
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three years integrated courses must have passed the H.S.C. Examination (Arts, Science & Commerce) of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, or its equivalent examination.
The Placement cell serves to assist the student to explore the opportunities provided by a prospective employer. It helps students to plan their careers by providing information and guiding them about the companies which approach the College for placement. Being a young college has not stopped UPG students from getting placements in top companies like Morgan Stanley, Wipro, L&T, Directi, Endurance, FCB, Capgemini, Start TV, and many more.
