The “Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya” was established by West Bengal Act XX of 2000 and started st functioning from the 1 February, 2001.
Uttar Banga Krishi Vishawavidyalaya, an institution dedicated solely to agriculture, horticulture, and agri-engineering, is a unique institution. The institution also offers degree programs in Agriculture, Horticulture, and Agricultural Engineering. An Act of the West Bengal legislature in 2001 created it.
Additionally, the University's mission includes expanding its educational efforts in Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering. Students can also benefit from high-quality teaching and practical training to improve their job placement skills. It will also help you achieve your career goals. It is our goal to help them become more efficient at both the national and global levels. The UGC Guidelines and the New Education Policy ensure that the Institution continues to grow.

Uttar Banga Krishi Vishawavidyalaya offers many courses in Horticulture, Agriculture, and Agricultural Engineering to its students from various fields. You can also find courses for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
Computer Labs
Information technology is essential for education in this age. It is as important for students at Uttar Banga Krishi Vishawavidyalaya and for all others. The University strives to produce students with advanced technical skills. The University's mission is to educate and upskill students in order to enhance the learning experience. They will be able to contribute to the socio-economic growth of the country by making them more skilled. There is a computer lab that offers high-quality computers and good internet connections. Students can also learn about information technology and use E-journals to aid their studies.
Library
It is spacious, well-maintained, and stacked with informative books. Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vidyalaya's central library has a large collection of books, journals and databases. It also contains audio-visual aids such as CDs, DVDs. e-books. Project reports, course material, classics and bound volumes of old examination papers. There are nearly 34.000 volumes in total, including more than 15000 bestselling titles and many international journals.
The central library also has a digital library that fulfills students' electronic material requirements.
Hostels
The University also has hostel facilities for girls and boys. We are able to accommodate a large number of gentlemen and women. The spacious rooms were designed to provide maximum comfort, learning atmosphere and a place for students to rest. Students don't have to worry about water consumption as there is a water supply that provides more than 1000 liters per day. The premises have a CCTV camera and electricity available 24 hours a day.
Science Labs
Uttar Banga Krishi Vishawavidyalaya provides separate science labs for all the courses that are taught on the Campus.
Dispensary and Hospital
Students can also access medical services at the University.
Uttar Banga Krishi Vishawavidyalaya's Placement Cell works closely with MNCs to place students on-campus or off-campus. The cell offers training sessions for students to help them become more resilient employees in the corporate sector. The average student has received a package of 10.5 lakhs per year through the on-campus placement process.
Candidates are accepted by the university based on their scores in WBJEE and JEE Mains. WBJEE will take place on April 23, and JEE Mains on April 2.
Candidates who hold a valid JELET rank and have passed the Diploma examination at an AICTE-approved institution with 45% marks for Agriculture Engineering may also be eligible to apply for B.Tech. Agriculture Engineering at UBKV
Candidates with a Bachelor of Science degree are eligible to apply. Candidates with a B.Sc. degree from an accredited university that has Mathematics in 10+2 are also eligible for the program.
