The multifaceted, magnificent Valliammal Education Trust was founded in 1968 by Prof. A.M. Paramasivanandam, an eminent Educationist, Philanthropist and prolific writer with an objective of impairing quality education to the common people. The Prestigious Valliammal College for Women was instituted in the year 1987 with conventional courses such as B.Sc. Math’s, B.Sc. Chemistry, Computer Science and Commerce. It is permanently affiliated with the University of Madras and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The dynamic leadership of Chairman Thiru. A.P. Maikandan and the dedicated involvement of the visionary, awe-inspiring academician, Correspondent Thiru. A.M. Arivudai Nambi and the able stewardship of academic adviser Dr.s.valavan have ensured a phenomenal growth of the institution offering need-based, application-oriented courses such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, computer application & business administration suited to the latest trends. The college offers 11 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses in shift I and 3 undergraduate courses in shift II. The college has a sprawling campus with permanent buildings. Students get trained in state-of-the-art laboratories with sophisticated equipment. The college has an erudite and devoted band of 115 experienced faculty members who guide and motivate around 3000 students to achieve their goals and realize their dreams.
