Varaha College of Architecture & Planning (VCAP) is carved out from VLNSET, a group of colleges in the year 2011. In the beginning, the college is affiliated with JNAUFA, Hyderabad, and later on, after state bifurcation it was affiliated with JNTUK. The Government of Andhra Pradesh approved under GO. Ms. No.74 Higher Education(EC) Department dared 28-07-2011 for the establishment of professional courses and fee structure through GO. Ms. No.41 Higher Education (EC) Department dared 25-06-2016. Also approved by the Council of Architecture with an intake of 40 students.

Construction land

A construction site is planned on campus for students to experience hands-on building with brick, mud, steel, and other materials and learn construction techniques.

The image depicts a geodesic dome, used as a design for houses, reservoirs, greenhouses, and more. This is done by 2nd and 3rd-year students as part of their workshop. The practice of building a dome helps students understand its structure and use.

Materials Lab

Building materials are introduced to the market with the development of construction technology and innovations in the field. Students should know about new materials and their use in the construction industry. In this context, all samples of new materials are collected and placed in the materials lab and students are taken on field visits where construction with these materials takes place. To understand the built form, sketches, and 3D models are essential. Students are trained to prepare 3D models with the right materials to understand scale, horizon, and shape. Students have the right to choose media and reflect on design concepts at the level of their imagination. Computer room

The university is well equipped with a dedicated computer lab with the necessary software. All final students work on auto cad and Revit software. Well-trained teachers will teach techniques for using software and working with different software in the same project. A Wifi facility is also provided to access the Internet at any time.

Climate laboratory

There is a climatology laboratory attached to the university, which places equipment for students to experiment with measuring noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution, etc., to understand climate conditions and know how to apply observations in design. Experts in the field are invited as guest speakers and the lectures of visiting professors are also involved in this. geodetic laboratory

The school is well equipped with survey tools, and lecturers of the civil engineering faculty are assigned the task of teaching B.Arch students. A field survey is done to measure the boundary and contour of the given place.
