VISVODAYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE was established in 2008 under Visvodaya Society with an intake of 300 students.
The total strength is 3224. This institution has a permanent affiliation with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Ananthapur.UGC was recognized with 2(f) in the year 2015. We have a faculty of 126 members in all subjects including 16 professors, 5 associate professors and 105 assistant professors.
Recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), Approval by AICTE.

Residential Accommodation
Visvodaya Engineering College has on-campus hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Both boys’, as well as girls’ hostels, accommodate about 800+ students each.
The hostels provide spacious and well-ventilated rooms, well-maintained washrooms and hygienically maintained kitchen and dining halls. All the required amenities such as Wi-Fi facility, RO water system, Stores, First Aid etc. are available to the students round the clock within the premises. Generators are also provided for power backup.
The Library
The Central Library started in the year 2008. Since then, it has grown in size and content to take the present shape. It has been catering to the needs of our students of undergraduates, postgraduates, research scholars and faculty members. The Library is well equipped with modem facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the forms of CDROMs, DVD-ROM, online databases, micro-documents, video cassettes, books, journals, reports, etc. It has also developed a full-fledged Digital Library equipped with necessary modem equipment to provide various digital mode Library services.
Medical Services and Health Center
Visvodaya Engineering College has set up a medical facility with necessary medical facilities on campus to give first aid in case of any medical emergency. First aid boxes are available in every individual department. A general physician visits the campus regularly for the convenience of students with health issues. The institute also arranges a free medical check-up annually for students and staff. Health awareness camps and talks are conducted regularly for the benefit of the students.
Canteen
As a place of informal communication and relaxation, the college cafeteria has been designed aesthetically to provide ample space for relaxed dining.
The cafeteria caters to the requirements of the students as well as the staff throughout the day. Food is served cleanly and hygienically at affordable prices. Various types of snacks, breakfast items, drinks and meals are served in the cafeteria.
Sport
Visvodaya Engineering College lays utmost emphasis on both the physical and psychological well-being of the students. The institute houses tennis, basketball, volleyball and badminton courts and cricket and soccer grounds. In addition, indoor games such as horse-drawn carriages, chess, table tennis, etc. are available. For field events like javelin throw, shot put, etc., the institute provides the necessary equipment. A well-equipped gym is available for students and staff.
Transport
Visvodaya Engineering College owns a fleet of 30 buses to facilitate the transport of about 1500 students and staff from nearby towns within a radius of 60 km from Kavali. Four of these buses are used for the transport of local students. Utmost care is taken to provide all safety measures to the travelling students. The transport in charge ensures that all the vehicles are maintained in a repair-free condition in compliance with the RTA guidelines.
Visvodaya Engineering College, Nellore accept admission through various entrance exams like Common Entrance Exam.
The placement cell of the college frequently interacts with various companies and invites them for campus interviews. The Placement cell arranges training programs in honing the skill sets, required for facing the interview, group discussion etc. It also invites HR managers from various organizations to conduct training programs for the final year students.
