For admission to both B.E. and B.Tech programs, candidates must successfully clear the all-India entrance test, VEE. For admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates need to meet the specified eligibility requirements, pass the university's common entrance examination, and complete the viva voce interview. VELS Application Process and Selection Process

Prospective students can obtain application forms from the University's administrative office. Alternatively, they can request forms by post by sending a Demand Draft made out to ‘The Registrar, Vels University’ and payable at Chennai. The completed application, along with all required documents as specified, should be submitted to the university either in person or by mail.

Selection Process:
Candidates provisionally selected, either based on their entrance test performance or qualifying examination scores, will be invited for a personal interview by the university. Failure to attend this interview will result in automatic cancellation of the admission offer. Admission to the courses is determined by a combination of merit and performance in the personal interview.

Upon admission, candidates and their parents must complete certain formalities, including signing declarations, paying fees, and submitting necessary documents to the respective Head of Department. Original documents submitted during admission will only be returned upon graduation, so it's advisable to keep multiple copies. Please note that the fees once paid are non-refundable. Students who choose to withdraw after admission are still responsible for the entire course fee.

Candidates with qualifications other than the HSE conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from Vels University by paying the prescribed fee along with the application.
