VES College of Arts Science and Commerce (VESASC, Mumbai)

Situated in the vibrant heart of Chembur, the College spans across 4.03 acres of land, comprising two distinct buildings. The main building accommodates essential administrative offices including the Principal's office, along with an Auditorium, AV room, Central Instrumentation Facility, Computer labs, and departments for Arts, Science, and Commerce. Additionally, the Annexure building houses supplementary classrooms, a Canteen, and an indoor Gymkhana for recreational activities. Adjacent to the college building lies a sports ground utilized for outdoor pursuits, ensuring ample leisure space for students. For enhanced security, the campus is outfitted with surveillance cameras safeguarding the welfare of both students and staff.

Classrooms:

Designed to foster an optimal learning environment, the spacious classrooms are well-lit and ventilated, each equipped with amenities such as microphones, LCD projectors, and internet connectivity.

Laboratories:

Dedicated laboratories cater to diverse disciplines including Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Mathematics, Psychology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, and Information Technology, meeting prescribed University standards. Specialized facilities like the Media Lab and Language Lab within the BMM department offer tailored resources equipped with relevant software.

Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF):

Established in the academic year 2016-17, the CIF houses advanced research instruments procured through funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under the FIST Scheme. Notable equipment includes an HPLC modular system, FTIR with Diamond ATR, Gas chromatography system, Sonicator, and UV-Vis spectrophotometer.

Library:

Located on the fourth floor, the Library serves as a pivotal hub for academic enrichment, boasting a vast collection of books, e-books, reference materials, and multimedia resources. Subscriptions to national and international journals further augment academic pursuits. The Library is fully automated with an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), Wi-fi accessibility, and continuous electronic surveillance.

E-Resource Centre:

Integrated within the Library premises, the E-Resource Centre provides internet access and printing facilities to facilitate academic endeavors for both students and staff.

Audio-visual Aids:

In line with modern pedagogical practices, the college has invested in a range of audio-visual aids including overhead projectors, LCD projectors, 3D models, maps, and charts, enhancing the efficacy of the teaching-learning process.

Auditorium:

A fully air-conditioned auditorium, equipped with ICT facilities, provides seating for 180 individuals, serving as a venue for seminars, lectures, and other scholarly events.

Audio Visual Room:

An air-conditioned hall, also ICT-enabled, accommodates approximately 100 individuals and serves as a venue for seminars, talks, and various programs.

Hostel:

Separate hostel accommodations are available for both male and female students at the VES Hostel, Hashu Advani Memorial Complex, Chembur, ensuring a secure and disciplined living environment.

Canteen:

A well-appointed canteen offers a diverse selection of food items catering to the needs of students and staff throughout the day.

Rainwater Recharge Point:

The college features a rainwater recharge point, contributing to the augmentation of groundwater levels.

Staff Gymnasium:

Equipped with basic fitness amenities including a treadmill walker, the Gymkhana provides a space for staff wellness activities.
