About Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam

The Institut d'Informatique de Vignan (VISIT) was created in 2002 in the city of Destiny, Visakhapatnam, to meet the educational needs of the general public. It acquired Autonomous status in the year 2017 and NBA and NAAC(A+) accredited Institute. The experience gained by Vignan through his previous institutions at Guntur only helped to establish very high-quality standards right from its inception and also is one of the reasons for its success.

Residential Accommodation

The hostel is on campus. 32 living rooms can accommodate 5 students in each bedroom, equipped with a desk, chair and wardrobe. There are sufficient toilets, bathrooms and sinks with running water. There are three dining halls and a modern kitchen. There is a beautiful chapel also on campus to meet the spiritual needs of the inmates

The Library

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam has its excellently equipped library housed in a second-storeyed building. It is adequately ventilated and furnished with a congenial academic ambience. The library has a collection of 10,000+ books, 100+ journals, 500+ dissertations, 4000 back volumes of journals and CDs and DVDs.

Computer Lab

The requirement of the day is computer Education. Our computer lab has 49 systems and provides knowledge and experience to our students all the time. The lab is open even after college hours providing opportunities for interested learners to practice and become masters in computer operations. Students utilise the Internet facility to download and prepare for their teaching practicals and use the Net for Powerpoint preparation.

Canteen

This place is very comfortable for all the students to relax for a while. Here are available not only tasty snacks but also stationery and other personal things.

Indoor games and Gymnasium

There is a provision for a gym and some indoor games items are available for the students. There is a period allotted to them from a group point of view and they use this gym because most of the students these days are trying to keep their bodies in shape with light exercises. This place is therefore very helpful for students in maintaining a good physique and helps in having a healthy mind and a healthy body.
