Vigyaan College of Applied Science is administered by the KS Nair Foundation, a philanthropic foundation established in 2012. Vigyaan College of Applied Science is committed to maintaining academic excellence by employing an efficient faculty team appointed according to UGC/university standards.  

The Vigyaan College of Applied Science campus is spread over 12 hectares of lush greenery on the top of Sasthagiri Hill and is located near the famous Sastha Temple in Nadukani, Kattakode, two kilometers from Kattakkada in Thiruvananthapuram District.  Its cheerful and calm atmosphere is very collegial as it facilitates the teaching/learning process. There is a central library with a good collection of books and periodicals. The campus has state-of-the-art infrastructure that allows students to engage in both curricular and extracurricular activities. The College has bus services connecting all major regions in and around Thiruvananthapuram District.

Courses offered:

Vigyaan College of Applied Science offers Undergraduate Programs Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Computer Applications, and Postgraduate Programs Master of Arts (MA) English Language And Literature, Master of Social Work.

The library is fully computerized and automated. All students are members of the college library. The library has two sections: (a) reference and (b) general, both under the direct supervision of the librarian.

The college has two well-equipped computer labs with high-speed internet access to ensure adequate computer education for all students by qualified teachers and support staff.  

Transportation Facility: 

The college has a fleet of vehicles that cater to students' transportation needs, connecting all major places in the Thiruvananthapuram district.

Admission: 

According to the college students are admitted to the first year of study. With the exception of managerial positions, students are only admitted on merit, in the general categories, and with reservations. 

Students selected for admission must undergo an interview with proper credentials, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 

The admissions process does not end until the first installment of the fee has been paid. 

Students who are eligible for a tuition reduction must justify their request by submitting the required documentation to the relevant authorities at the time of admission.  Students who withdraw from classes without the consent of the principal will have to pay tuition fees for the entire academic year.
