Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences was started in 2004 - 05 by the VC Educational Society, Secunderabad, to impart quality education to pharmacy students coming from rural areas and equip them with the necessary competencies to meet the growing global demands of the pharmaceutical industry, academia, research, and patient care areas. The college is located at Rayanigudem, Suryapet district, rural South Telangana and situated on Hyderabad – Vijayawada National High Way No.65 and placed in 12 acres of a lush green serene environment. The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The institution offers a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) followed by a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M. Pharm). The students gain their practice exposure at Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, a 1,050-bed multi-specialty tertiary care teaching hospital in Narketpally.

Hospital

Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Rayanigudem. All attend the hospital for ward rounds from the 2nd year. A hospital should be at least 300 bedded hospitals with all the basic amenities and adequate staff. Ward round participation is essential for the students to gain clinical experience, identifying Critical/Adverse drug reactions/interactions that play an important role in ward rounds. Students, after visiting the hospital, will collect cases from the hospital and present them in the college.

Eligibility for B. Pharm Course

Pass in (10+2) or equivalent with an individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology (or) Mathematics both theory and practical with a minimum of 40% marks and with not less than 50% aggregate marks in the above subjects is mandatory.

A pass in English with a minimum of 40% marks is mandatory for all categories.

Eligibility for M. Pharmacy Course

Pass in Bachelor of Pharmacy with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks by any Recognized University and qualifying with GPAT or PGECET.

Management seat: Pass in Bachelor of Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks by any Recognized University and qualifying without GPAT or PGECET.
