Vimal Muni College of Education was established in the year 2003 under the aegis of Vimal Muni Adarsh Educational Society (Regd.) in its building with a mission to alleviate human sufferings, eradicate illiteracy, ignorance and poverty and impart sound education with opportunities for research and development. To open institutions of higher learning where the learners could be helped and guided to develop their all-around personality to the maximum possible extent and thus make them grow strong both physically and mentally into healthy citizens of the Indian nation. To grant stipends, scholarships, loans, and other financial assistance to deserving students for general and professional education, vocational training, and other pursuits to uplift the poor and needy persons.

Tutorials

All the enrolled B.Ed. students are divided into tutorial groups, each comprising 15-20 students. The tutorial classes are held on every Saturday under the supervision and guidance of a tutor, who is invariably a member of the College faculty. This period provides an opportunity for the students to develop various teaching skills essentially required for effective teaching-learning situations, master preparation of requisite teaching aids concerning lessons to be delivered, etc. besides receiving individual attention.

Alumni Association

Vimal Muni College of Education To assure close relationships with ex-students of this College and thus obtain their healthy suggestions and comments as well regarding the future development of the College based on their rich experience in various fields, an Alumni Association has been formed with effect from the current session. The B.Ed. students on the rolls of the College during any academic session would surely be also benefited from the interaction with the ex-students whenever an Alumni meeting is held by the College Administration.

Book Bank

Vimal Muni College of Education A Book Bank is also being set up this year in the college library. It would provide free access to books to the poor and needy students of the College and allow them to retain books for the whole session. The Book Bank is to be developed with the active support of students, teachers, the community, and publishers on a cooperative basis. All the stakeholders concerned and philanthropists shall be requested to donate old/new books for the development of the Bank.

Hostel Facility

Vimal Muni College of Education has the provision of a Hostel for girls only. It is a three-story building and comprises Warden’s Room, a spacious Kitchen, Dining Hall, one dormitory, 11 rooms, and a toilet set on each floor. It can accommodate 50 inmates at a time. The hostel warden is a full-time employee of the College who looks after the proper arrangement in case of hostel mess, security of students, and medical facilities whenever required during the day.

Admissions in Vimal Muni College of Education 

Admission Procedure:

Admission to the B.Ed course in the non-Govt. Colleges of Education are open to candidates in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in the faculty of Arts / Science / Social Sciences / Commerce / Management (under 10+2+3 or 10+1+3 pattern) / Engineering / Medicine / Agriculture / Veterinary Sciences / Forestry / Music and Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutory university in India and having secured at least 45% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination in case of general category. In the case of SC/ST category candidates who are permanent residents of J&K State and belong to the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Jammu University, the eligibility condition will be having secured 40% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
