The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a comprehensive survey of the available facilities for technical education and promote development in a coordinated and integrated manner across the country. The AICTE Act was formulated to establish the council, intending to facilitate proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education system throughout India. Its objectives include promoting qualitative improvements in technical education alongside planned quantitative growth, as well as regulating and maintaining norms and standards within the technical education system and related matters.

VTC Affiliated with Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University University : Established by the Government of Maharashtra through the enactment of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act No. XXII of 1989, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University initially operated as a Unitary University. However, in 2016, the Government of Maharashtra transformed it into an Affiliating Technological University under Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act No. XXIX of 2014. This university now holds jurisdiction over the entire state of Maharashtra, boasting affiliation with 272 institutes and a total student population of 136,534.Spanning a vast 468 acres, the university's campus serves as a hub of education, attracting bright minds from all corners of the state. Here, students are groomed into skilled engineers and adept technocrats, equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their fields.
