VTC Approved by AICTE: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a comprehensive survey of the available facilities for technical education and promote development in a coordinated and integrated manner across the country. The AICTE Act was formulated to establish the council, intending to facilitate proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education system throughout India. Vishveshwarya Technical Campus (VTC), Sangli, provides well-furnished separate hostels for both boys and girls, accommodating 60 boys and 45 girls respectively, at reasonable fees. The hostels ensure a round-the-clock electricity supply with a backup of 125 KVA generator and offer hot bath water through a solar hot water system. The girls' hostel features a separate study room and a mini gymnasium. Both hostels are equipped with a 24-hour security system, a dispensary with first aid facilities, and cooking gas and electric geysers in the girls' hostel. Eligibility Criteria for Direct Second-Year Admission: Candidates must be Indian nationals domiciled in Maharashtra, fulfilling the conditions prescribed in rule 2.1. They must have passed either HSC Science or HSC (Bifocal/Technical) or HSC (Vocational/MCVC) Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or SSC with a 2-year duration ITI/ITI COE with 3 modules with appropriate specialization, or its equivalent.
1. Candidates with HSC vocational (MCVC) or 10+2 ITI/ITI COE backgrounds should have passed SSC (10th Std) or an equivalent examination with subjects including English, Mathematics (Code 71), and Science (Code 72).
2. The eligibility of students for specific branches of Diploma programs shall be as per MSBTE guidelines prescribed in the rule.
3. Candidates other than those from Maharashtra State are not eligible for admission under CAP.
