Dr S.K.S Rathore an outstanding academician established GSKS in memory of his great father Shri G.S Rathore to serve society in education and social welfare. The Samiti had started the various institute under the aegis of the VISM Group of studies to prepare the potential young generation of India to face the upcoming competitive world and to contribute to the intellectual pool of India and the world.

The following institutes are running under the aegis of the VISM Group of Studies Jai Institute of Nursing and Research, Vijayaraje Institute of Science and Management, Jai Institute of Professional Studies, Vijayaraje College of Education, and Jai Institute of Paramedical Science. Many degree and diploma courses were set up to impart professional education in different disciplines to students who have an intermediate degree from a school or junior college and have the ambition to seek knowledge and a better career in future. The Institution believes in a code of conduct that does not appreciate any indisciplined behaviour but at the same time, motivates the students to grow in terms of academic and extracurricular activities.

Facilities and Infrastructure

HOSTELS

The campus has decent and affordable boarding facilities. Separate boys' and Girls' hostels are available within the campus premises. Rooms are spacious, hygienic, well-ventilated, illuminated, and contain the required furnishings. The facilities in the hostel induce housekeeping, dry-cleaning, and laundry service. The institute is committed to providing full-time security to both hostels which are managed by respective wardens.

LIBRARY

Our library is fully computerized and accessible on campus. LAN operates on specialized library software i.e. SOUL 2.0, INFLIBNET, a user-friendly package that facilitates the issue and return of books, and online access to the catalogue and issuing of books. The library has adopted the latest information technology like CDs, DVDs, Multimedia Kits, Barcode Scanners, Text, and Graphic Scanners for effective use of library services. The library has a wide range of resources; it includes textbooks, reference books, electronic databases, a large collection of video cassettes, photograph albums, CDs, subscriptions to newspapers etc. Library has a sufficient number of textbooks, and a wide range of reference books & journals which cover almost all areas of Nursing, Life Science, Computer Science and Management. The library also provides various reports and data collection of different corporate groups in the form of CDs. This centre helps to develop research capabilities and entrepreneurship skills among the students..

BOYS & GIRLS NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

The motto or watchword of the National Service Scheme is "NOT ME BUT YOU". This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other person's point of view and also shows the consideration for fellow human beings. It underlines that the welfare of the individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as a whole. And it is the aim of the NSS to demonstrate the motto in its day-to-day programs.

CANTEEN AND MESS

The campus has a very spacious mess: equipped with furniture, and other facilities, Students dining in the mess are free to decide their menu for the week. Care is taken regarding the taste, hygiene, and nutritional value of the food. Due importance is given to the choices of the students from different locations in India, which gives them a feeling of home-cooked food, away from home.

BOYS & GIRLS NATIONAL CADET CORPS INDIA (NCC)

NCC is a dynamic organization of young boys and girls all over India. It plays an important role in inculcating values of character, patriotism, unity and selfless service among the youth. It helps in shaping the youth into disciplined responsible citizens of India. NCC provides a platform for self-development and helps to channel their energy and potential towards nation-building. NCC is an organization to establish the values of "Unity & Discipline", which is also its motto. NCC has three wings: The Army, The Navy & The Air Force.

CULTURAL CLUB

The cultural club at VISM was formed to instil values among the students and to provide an opportunity to showcase their cultural talent. The college organizes various cultural events throughout the year to keep the cultural spirit alive. The club organizes various cultural activities as per the academic calendar to indoctrinate a sense of belongingness, teamwork, coordination & amiability.

TRANSPORTATION

The College has a fleet of buses to provide transportation facilities to students and staff. Bus routes are well planned to cover all the areas of the city and some areas of the outskirts. Each bus is equipped with a first aid box and fire extinguisher.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Medical aid is available to the students with the help of full-time Nurses who stay on campus. On the call, the doctor is available 24*7 for the hostellers inside the campus. Stretchers, wheelchairs and other equipment are on constant standby for any eventuality. An ambulance facility is also available on the Campus in case of any emergency.

SPORTS CLUB

"Success is the ability to go from one failure to another without no loss of enthusiasm" - Sir Winston Churchill. This enthusiasm is inculcated through various sports activities like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, and Badminton, held on campus. Outdoor sports and indoor games provide a refreshing break from the hectic schedule of academia. The competition among the students is intense and the levels of enthusiasm are high.

Training & Placement Desk

Our group knows that conferences are educational outlets, which not only provide an arena for undergraduates and the post-graduates to explore new implications and information related to their profession or stream, and also make them, understand that academia is an inherently collaborative profession. Thus, our group has planned that each of its colleges will conduct, at least one national seminar in a year. Keeping that in mind, the Life-science Dept. of the VISM college conducted a National Conference on the ‘Recent Trends in Biotechnology’ on the 30th & 31st of Jan., 2016, which was attended by around 20-25 keynote speakers, many research scholars and students who presented their papers via models, ppts., and posters. And what made the occasion even more special were the guests who were either scientists or Professors of the academia.
