Vivekanandha College of Arts and Sciences for Women (Autonomous) was established and hailed into Women’s Educational Service in the Year 1995. Angammal Educational Trust Chaired by the great Educationalist 'Vidhya Rathna' Prof. Dr. M. KARUNANITHI, B.Pharm., M.S., Ph.D., D.Litt., sponsors this college and other institutions under the name of the great Saint Vivekanandha. Our institutions are situated on either side of Tiruchengode-Namakkal Main Road at Elayampalayam, 6 km away from Tiruchengode. This is the biggest women’s college in India with more than 7500 girl students and more than 18 departments. The strength of the college was just 65 at the time of its establishment. With the dedication, work, sacrifice, and long vision of the chairman, this institution has grown into a Himalayan stage. Autonomous status is given to the college for its successful performance.

VICAS Library has 59,411 Volumes and 229 Journals and magazines. A modern digital library network with high-speed internet access is also housed on the premises. Reprographic facilities with printer & CD writer are also provided.

Hostel

The hostel has a common recreation room with a TV which creates a homely atmosphere. The entire hostel is computerized and has 24-hour internet access through Wi-Fi. Students are provided with excellent accommodation facilities with well-furnished double and four occupancy rooms, sprawling and artistic layout, hygienic kitchen, and spacious dining halls for both undergraduate and postgraduate students separately. Every hostel is provided with STD and ISD call services.

Hospital

Vivekanandha educational institutions additionally own VIVEKANADHA MEDICAL CARE HOSPITAL, which is a multispeciality hospital. This hospital was mainly established for the welfare of the students studying across the entire institution. Numerous specialties such as General, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Urology, Dental, Patient counseling, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Blood bank.

Sports

The institute recognizes the importance of sportsman spirit and team effort for students. This can be learned in a congenial environment through sports and games. For this, the Campus has adequate sports facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure. A number of inter and intra-college sports events are organized throughout the year to enable the students to develop a spirit of healthy competition and team effort. Apart from this Centralized Department Stores is also available that provides all the stationeries to the students.

Gym

To make fitness, a gym is provided to the students which act as a Fitness Centre. It provides all sorts of training such as cardiovascular training, strength training, flexibility training, yoga, and aerobics training. The gym is equipped with the most modern fitness equipment from world leaders in Gym Equipment.

Placement Cell

It has a unique distinction of establishing within its wings an in-house training facility comprising well-trained and efficient facilitators, capable of inculcating all the necessary skills so that our wards could develop their competency to successfully face the challenges put forth by the Campus Recruitment Drives. Training and Placement are an integrated part of our Institutions.
