VPM's R Z Shah College was established by Vidya Prasarak Mandal Charitable Trust in the year 2003 and is located in the vicinity of nature of Mulund East, Mumbai, Maharashtra. The College was renamed VPM's Ramniklal Zaverbhai Shah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in 2009. The College is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. To be eligible for admission to the three-year Bachelor of Commerce degree course, candidates must meet the following criteria:

They should have passed the Higher School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Alternatively, candidates who have passed an examination from another University or Body recognized as equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination are also eligible for admission, as per ordinance-0.2152.

The self-financed course entails an approximate cost of Rs. 25,700 for the first year, Rs. 27,900 for the second year, and Rs. 29,560 for the third year, with a yearly increment ranging from Rs. 300 to Rs. 500 for all students.
