VSM Institute of Technology, known as Vidya Smavardhak Mandai, is situated in Nipani at Belgaum and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Library:

The Library at VSM Institute of Technology, Nipani, was established in 2010. VSM chairman and VSM Institute of Technology Principal have taken a keen interest in establishing this Library to give the networked Library facility to the faculty members, staff, and students to get the best available information for research and reference. Area of Reading room 450sq.m. Started with 23 Computers with a few Journals and Books for reference. Now, this library is connected to the BSNL 32 MBPS leased line internet connection. The latest Books in Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronics & Communication engineering, Computer Science & engineering, and General Books were also added for the reference of the needy staff and students. 440 CD ROMs of the latest text Books are also made available for users.

Hostel Facilities:

VSM Institute of Technology, Nipani, has two separate hostels on the campus for girls and boys, with attractive architectural features and modern facilities. The hostel is designed to accommodate 200+ boys and 160+ girls. Each room in both hostels has been furnished with cots, Reading Tables, Chairs, Cupboards,s and Ceiling Fans. TV is placed in the common room for refreshment. Both hostels are provided with RO plants to provide clean and safe drinking water.

Transport:

Institute owns Three Buses plying between various locations in the City and Institute. Buses will provide continuous service and FREE transport facilities to students and staff.

Canteen:

VSM Institute of Technology, Nipani has the facility of a spacious and clean canteen that caters to the taste of all students. The canteen is equipped with modern furniture and storage facilities, which provide hot lunch, snacks, and beverages both to the students and staff at reasonable rates. It is well maintained with efficient service and a takeaway counter. The College has a Canteen inside the campus in which a variety of dishes are available at reasonable rates. The canteen remains open on all working days. Beverages of different flavors are served on different days. 

Internet:

College is having computing facility with the latest configured computers with all peripheries. The computing lab provides a high-speed browsing facility through which students can reach the World Wide Web. Experienced and well-qualified staff manages the center and are always available for any help in using the facility. The library has subscribed to journals. The library has been part of the internet; a browsing facility is available for gathering information related to academics with a Broad Band connection of BSNL 8 MBPS. The digital library has e-journals like IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, J-Gate, ASCE, ASME, and ASTM library online versions.

Play Ground:

At VSMIT, students develop leadership and team skills, pursuing their interests through diverse organizations. Activities are student-driven, and new initiatives are always welcomed. Admission at VSM Institute of Technology Belgaum

Should pass 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the technical vocational subjects-Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Electronics / Computers. Should obtain at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category candidates of Karnataka only).Should have passed PUC-2 or equivalent examination securing not less than 45% aggregate of Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of the following optional subjects- Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science & Electronics along with English as one of the Language.
