The basic purpose of the lab is to provide students a platform to enhance English language skills, and communication skills and to practice soft skills. Good communication skills are indispensable for the success of any professional. English language learning has therefore become a must for any Indian student today. Language learning is quite different from learning any other subject. The language laboratory is a very helpful tool for practicing and assessing one’s speech in any language. It provides a facility that allows the student to listen to model pronunciation, repeat and record the same, listen to their performance and compare with the model and do self-assessment.

Varieties of dishes are supplied from the canteen. The hygienic kitchen and quality food were prepared by an experienced chef.

Residential/ Hostel facility

Separate hostel available for both boys and girls. Staff quarters and guest house are located within the campus.

Hospital Training

Candidates will be selected for their mandatory hospital training in our own Westfort Hospital and Westfort Hi-tech Hospital, which are the two leading multi-specialty hospitals in the city of Thrissur. Hospital training is provided for students to acquire better knowledge in the area of Hospital and clinical pharmacy.

Herbal Garden

Well maintained and available with varieties of medicinal plants, which enables students to identify the rare and most precious species of medicinal resources.

Museum

Various types of dried crude drugs from different plant sources, various types of allopathic and ayurvedic dosage forms, and surgical items were showcased for the skilled demonstration.

Admission Requirements at Westfort College of Pharmacy :

For B.Pharm

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, are eligible as per KUHS norms.
