XITE College, is one of the units of Xavier Colleges in India and abroad. These Colleges are founded and managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) who are pioneers in the field of Education. The XITE College was founded by Fr. P.D. Thomas, S.J. (former Director of XLRI) and a member of the Jamshedpur Jesuit Society. The main objective of the College is to groom the youth of Jharkhand and neighbouring States both in knowledge and skill and make them capable of understanding their responsibility towards nation-building and good citizenship. Initially (2003) it was started as a coaching centre for the youth to help them get into reputed Business Schools and to qualify in various competitive exams, but in 2007 it began to offer degree programmes BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and subsequently B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce Honors) and other programmes.

XLRI, Tata Steel, the CTC Sisters, the citizens of Jamshedpur and the Government of Jharkhand are the partners and collaborators in envisioning and translating the vision and mission of the College into a reality. We inculcate in our students the right knowledge and a reverence for the Divine and uphold social inclusion in every social and academic activity in our learning process. The College advocates the “Life Skill Education Model” wherein it imparts the education of Head, Heart, Hand and Health [4Hs]. All these are achieved through our dedicated team of faculty members, collaborators and co-workers. Computer Lab

XITE College has a Computer Lab with 40 PCs and they are connected to high-speed internet 24 x 7 and with the latest updates and software. The PCs operate on Windows 7/8.1, & Linux. Some of the other Soft-wares are MS- Office, Tally 9.1 ERP, Java, C/C++, VB Basic, etc. The Lab is fully air-conditioned, user friendly and easily accessible during College hours.

Common Room.

XITE College has two common rooms (one for boys & one for girls). These rooms have various indoor games facilities such as Caroms, Chess and so on. The students make use of them during recess and other free time to refresh their minds.

Conference Room

XITE College has a well-equipped conference room and it is well-used by the students for various cultural/social/academic competitions and celebrations. These occasions provide ample opportunities to the students to showcase their talents. The students benefit immensely from these activities.

Canteen

XITE College has a canteen for the students. It operates every day during the College hours except on Sundays and holidays. It provides various delicious food at a subsidised price to its students.

Sports

XITE College has a large playground with various sports and games amenities. The College organizes, every year, Annual College Sports Day and a large number of students take part in it. The College also provides amenities such as Basketball, Volleyball, Football Ground, Kabaddi, Badminton, Kho kho and so on.

Transportation
XITE College provides conveyance to students who prefer from the city to and from the College.

Medical
XITE College has a sick room with basic medicines to meet medical emergencies, as and when it requires. The College, in collaboration with Tata Steel Long Product, gets the service of a Physician at regular intervals and provides free service to the students who need it. Besides the Physician, there is also a trained nurse on the Campus to assist the students in need.
