YCP Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Candidates applying under the Maharashtra State Candidature category must adhere to the following criteria

1. Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian National

2. Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have passed the SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination or its equivalent from a recognized institution with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks.

3. The term 'aggregate marks' is defined as follows: For Maharashtra State Board Candidates: Candidates who cleared the SSC Examination before March 2009 will have their aggregate marks calculated based on the total marks obtained in any five subjects where they scored the highest.

4. Candidates who passed the SSC Examination after March 2009 will have their aggregate marks calculated based on the total marks obtained in five subjects as indicated on the Mark sheet.

5. Marks awarded for participation in sports activities, if mentioned on the Mark sheet, will be added to the aggregate marks for determining merit.

6. For ICSE Candidates: For applicants seeking admission based on Group 1 & Group 2 subjects only, the aggregate marks will be the total marks obtained in any of the five subjects from Group 1 & Group 2 where the highest scores were achieved. For applicants seeking admission based on Group 1, Group 2 & Group 3, the aggregate marks will be the total marks obtained in all subjects from all groups.

7. For CBSE CandidatesThe aggregate marks refer to the total marks obtained by the candidate, including all subjects as declared on the Mark sheet.

8. For candidates with CBSE/ICSE backgrounds: If the candidate's result is presented in terms of grades, they must provide the equivalent marks authorized by the concerned institute/Board.

9. Direct Second-Year Admission to Post-SSC Diploma Courses: Candidates must have passed the HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) Science or HSC Science with Technical or HSC Science with Vocational Examination from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Alternatively, they must have completed SSC with 2 years of ITI with appropriate specialization from a Recognized Institution in Maharashtra State.
