From its inception in 1992 as a Yenepoya Dental College library, the library at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has undergone a significant evolution, transforming into a full-fledged University library in 2008. Presently, the library infrastructure at Yenepoya comprises the central library and specialized libraries affiliated with constituent units, departments, and centers. The central library, housed in a dedicated air-conditioned building, serves as the primary hub for information dissemination. It is equipped with networking capabilities and resource-sharing facilities aimed at fulfilling the educational needs of students, researchers, and faculty members.
The library's extensive collection encompasses an array of resources including books, journals, electronic resources, and ancient manuscripts. Access to a wide spectrum of e-books, e-journals, and online databases is available round-the-clock through the MyLoft remote access tool, enabling off-campus usage. Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) library actively participates in national consortia such as the National Cancer Grid Consortium and DELNET resource sharing network and is also affiliated with the HELINET consortium of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore.
